Meadow Valley Botanicals

Wendy DeOcampo brings her kind spirit and love for medicinal plants, sustainable living, and adorable goats to Northeastern California through her business, Meadow Valley Botanicals.

“I believe that herbs play an integral role in keeping us healthy and balanced. Plants help to keep us connected to nature and offer so many generous gifts, from nourishment to healing to stress reduction to reminding us of the abundant beauty all around,” enthuses Wendy.

Meadow Valley Botanicals offers handcrafted small-batch goat milk and herbal-inspired skin care products, such as soaps, lotions, creams, salves, hydrosols, & hair care items, as well as teas, elixirs, tinctures, and assorted herbal delights. “Small batch production, growing many of my own herbs, and raising my own goats all ensure high-quality products.”

Wendy has been working with medicinal plants for 30 years. She holds a certificate in Traditional Herbalism from Rosemary Gladstar’s Science & Art of Herbalism program, though she considers the plants themselves to be her greatest teachers.

With so much knowledge and tradition behind her, Wendy is still looking to the future. She co-founded the Wild Mountain Herbal Collective, which offers low-cost herbal education to the community through hands-on workshops. She recently trained in Reiki and now infuses all her products, enhancing their energetic vibrancy and the benefits enjoyed by customers. (She may be adding Reiki healing sessions and a new line of flower essences to her offerings soon!)

Wendy is proud of the variety of restorative products and educational opportunities she provides to her local community. “I have lived in Plumas County for 28 years, and there’s nowhere else I want to be! I love teaching people simple, natural ways to care for their families & friends using local, abundant wild plants as well as easy-to-grow plants. Connecting people to the earth is the greatest blessing!”
